The Beginning of a Culinary Journey

In 1997, our founder Maria Rodriguez had a dream - to share the authentic flavors of her grandmother's kitchen with the world. Starting with a small family recipe collection passed down through generations, she opened the first Cafe Rio in a modest storefront in Deer Isle, Maine.
